Site Development News

Welcome to the Dungeons and Dragons LARP website.

This website is still under construction so please be patient and report any bugs that stay for more than a few days.

This is the home of the D&D LARP Guide, which will shortly be available for download. There will also be a web based version of it for online browsing and rules clarification.

The forums will allow you to play D&D games online - not in a graphical way, but play-by-mail style, with DMs able to give experience points for good roleplay posts.

You will also be able to create and update characters online. All d20 (OGL) rules will be available for use. Certain private settings will also be available to members (such as the Forgotten Realms campaign setting).

Please remember that this site is not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast, and all trademarks and copyrights belonging to them are not broken deliberately (I really need to do something with the logo...)

Copyright Info

Currently the guide uses copyrighted Wizards of the Coast information, and as such is not available on the site. This is simply due to the way we developed it. We are in the process of migrating it to be fully OGL compatable, whereupon it will be released on the website - and hopefully for other LARP groups to make use of too.

The logo for this site and the book is to my mind completely *bad* - I need to get a new one that neither infringes any copyright nor implies it is anything to do with D&D itself. While the system does benefit from a great knowledge of D&D, it is not a requirement, and I don't want to make it seem like it is in any way an official product when it clearly isn't. If you're a decent artist please apply within ;-)

This system is essentially a tabletop D&D game, in live action. The only difference being that I'm trying to get the game mechanics open for any other LARP groups to use - so you can go on holiday and still feel secure in the knowledge that you can LARP at a local group without learning anything new. As each section of the site comes online we will try hard to keep to this mandate, and if anything does go seriously wrong (and you're a lawyer) please tell us so something can be done.
